WEENS - THE SERIES

About the Artist: Mindy Messinger resides in Austin Texas with her muse, a 7 year old black and tan dachund named Linus. The Weiner Dog series began in 1996 with a few paintings around the house for her own amusement but took off after moving to Austin when friends and family began requesting weiner dog paintings of their own. After a few months of work, paintings began selling locally and on Ebay and have since taken on a life of their own becoming "quite the piece" to have in ones home in the local Austin Art scene. As of Jan 2003, there are about 27 paintings in the series. Unfortunatlly, many of the paintings were sold before photos had been taken. They are listed below. Most of the painting are for sale. Please email me with any questions, custom requests or to buy a piece. All are original paintings, no prints. . I love painting these Weiner dogs and will continue as long as they bring a smile to peoples faces.
