Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) is a not-so-small island state off the southern tip of India in South Asia. Most of our married life we've lived just south of its capital Colombo - in and around a town called Nugegoda.
Since our marriage 14 years ago, we've lived in more than 10 different abodes, with a maximum stay of less than 4 years in any single abode. Thankfully, Natasha is an excellent packer-mover!
Ruvan has worked in the University of Colombo since our marriage. Apart from the years prior to our family expanding when Natasha worked at Hayleys and then the Ceylon Bible Society in Colombo, she has been a firm believer in giving her time for the kids: first it was Devaka 8 years ago and then came Saheli.
We are part of a group called FOCUS and support the work primarily through our involvement in an affiliated group of christian graduates, among whom we've made some life-long friendships.
