The sun
glared into her eyes, she looked out the fast-paced bus.
She was trying to think, not about him. She
was just listening.
Scream
at me, until my ears bleed…
She narrowed her eyebrows. Sounds of the loud and running bus engine confused her thoughts. She wanted to be alone.
She tried to open her mouth, but she went
speechless.
I’m
speechless and redundant coz’ “I love you” ’s not enough.
What are all these Green Day songs doing in
my head? She thought to herself, “I love you” is not enough.
She shifted deeper into her seat as she felt
an arm slipped behind her back. Fingers gently touched her waist, and a palm
landed beside her thigh. She squinted her eyes in disbelieve. She helplessly
moved her butt towards the window side of the bus, again, to only find a palm
still here, under her butt.
“Gee, you…” She said softly, as soft as
possible.
The hand was taken out and it was rested on
her waist. It pulled her closer to the owner of the strong and protective arm;
it was what she needed. She tried to lean her head onto his right shoulder but
only felt air, dammit, she thought.
She didn’t dare to turn around. She drifted herself
back into the empty yet realistic feeling of being in his arms.
She started to imagine having a conversation
with him, talking about everything and anything. From why the sky is blue to
why they feel the way they do.
“Is this the way you feel all the time?” She kept
her eyes closed; “It breaks my heart, to see you like this.”
She opened her eyes, “I can’t say… That you
love me…”
She closed her eyes again, “Coz’ you don’t know
the way I feel, spinning here inside this wheel.”
Her eyes were wide open, “This is the way I
feel all the time.” She breathed deeply, “I can’t help but feel lonely.”
