INTRODUCTION
Hello, and welcome to my hockey page! This site is new, and i am trying to add as many pictures of my collection as i can. As you go through the pages of this site you will soon realize that my main interest of hockey collecting is older memorabilia. I find pre-war hockey very fascinating. It is nice to see pictures and read storys of how the game and the players have evolved over the years. The eye appeal of old 1910-11 Imperial Tobacco cards is amazing. It would be quite a scene to watch hockey being played back then. I am not really too concerned about grading with pre-war hockey cards. Just knowing the card has stood the test of time is enough for me. Imagine way back in 1910, who would actually collect Imperial Tobacco cards expecting them to be worth hundreds, even thousands of dollars in the future?  I don't really care about the value of the cards in my collection. To me, they're priceless.

I especially like collecting cards, autographs and memorabilia of Hall of Fame players. I have researched the careers and read stories of many Hall of Fame players and found it fascinating. I especially like reading stories of Eddie Shore of the Boston Bruins. A story that intrigues me the most is a game after Shore got into a fight. He had serious injuries and while he was being tended to, his team left for Montreal on a train thinking Eddie was too injured to play the next game. Eddie ended up hiring a cab and drove through the worst snow storm of the year, made it to Montreal just before game time to join his teammates, played, fought twice and scored the only goal of the game. Just like the Hanson Brothers say...."Old Time Hockey - Eddie Shore!". I also like reading stories of Charlie "Chuck" Rayner of the New York Rangers. In one game in particular Rayner, a goalie skated the length of the ice with the puck and scored a goal. A handful of goalies have scored goals into the open net in their careers such as Billy Smith, Ron Hextall, Martin Brodeur and Jose Theodore, but none like the one Rayner scored. If you have the time, search the internet or go to http://www.hhof.com to read up on careers of great NHL Hall of Famers.
