| brian bell is not weezer's original guitarist. he was signed on as a replacement for ex-member and guitarist jason cropper. cropped quit the band after the first few days of recording for the blue album in NYC. brian, already aquainted with rivers, pat and matt was immediately flown in. brian has appeard on all four of their albums and he has played for the band for 10 years. his role in weezer has been a performing one, singning back up vocals and playing back up guitar (he played a few solos on pinkerton) he's yet to write a song released by the band, other than co-writing credits for some songs on the blue album, the same goes for everyother member besides rivers. in brians band the space twins who just released their debut full-length he writes, sings and plays lead guitar. |
