Pinkerton
title: weezer - el scorcho [promo copies]
label: geffen
id #:
released: early September, 1996
songs: el scorcho.
notes: an early and later version of the promotional single sent to radio stations.

These are back covers. The black one [bottom] was made before the artwork was ready, as it had to be rushed to certain stations extra early. The later one very closely resembles the import commercial cd's of this single, but it just has 1 track.
title: weezer - el scorcho
label: geffen
id #: #gfstm22167
released: september 19, 1996
songs: el scorcho. you gave your love to me softly. devotion.
notes: contains "version 2" of you gave your love to me softly.
In the UK 2 versions are released:
- a 7" and cd single [cardboard case] with "el scorcho" and "you gave.."
- a 'maxi-single' [in thin jewel case] that adds devotion.
UK cassette single also exists [2 tracks].
Other international countries get the maxi-single version only...however Australia's version comes in a cardboard sleeve, making it easy to mix up with the UK regular cd single.
B-sides recorded during the main Pinkerton sessions. Spike's little photos on the back cover are priceless.

notes: Uk + international 3 song e.p. release. includes japanese text sleeve. "Waiting" and "I Just Threw..." both done during Pinkerton sessions. Rachel Haden (of That Dog) sings lead on "Threw..." because Rivers wrote the song from a female point of view.
No cassette single known to exist.
wacky trivia: a VERY young Daniel Brummel [now of Ozma] is in the audience photo, hes the light blonde haired dude in upper right.
