ARTHRITIS
Although there are more than 100 different kinds of arthritis osteoarthritis is by far the most common type. If you suffer from joint pain and have been told that x-rays show arthritis then you probably have osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis, AKA degenerative joint disease, is what is commonly referred to as "old age arthritis." Osteoarthritis can occur as a consequence to a joint injury or more commonly it arises over time without any specific causative event.
The beginnings of osteoathritis can be traced back to damage and degeneration of the joint cartilage. When this protective cover wears away it results in pain and deformity of the bone. The result is thinned joint spaces, bone spurs and associated pain and stiffness
Coventional treatments for osteoarthritis are designed to limit inflammation and cover up pain. These can be helpful in the short term but may be dangerous for long term use. Common over the counter medications like Ibuprophen or Motrin have been linked to kidney and liver disease as well as stomach irritation. Some studies have even shown these common over the counter medications to actually damage joint cartilages thereby accelerating osteoarthritis. There is an alternative.
TRY GLUCOSAMINE & CHONDROITIN
Everyone with osteoarthritis should be taking glucosamine and chondroitin supplements. These compounds are very well researched and shown to be effective. They are even reccomended by the most mainstream conservative medical physicians. That's how solid the proof is behind these supplements.
Unlike other conventional treatments Glucosamine and Chondroitin actually help to rebuild the cartilage that has been lost, nothing else does that. These compounds are essentially the building blocks of joint cartilage, given the proper dosage they have been shown via scientific research to reduce arthritis pain, improve joint motion and reduce catilage destruction and to rebuild lost cartilage. All this without damage to the kidneys liver or stomach.
