Mad at the World

This is one of my favorite bands, but for some reason no one has heard of them. Let me introduce you to them.

Mad at the World is:
Roger Rose...............Lead and background vocals, Guitars & Percussion
Randy Rose..............Lead and background vocals, Drums & Percussion
Brent Gordon...........Lead and Ryhthm Guitar
Brent Jacobs............Lead and Rhythm Guitar
Mike Pendleton.......Bass
Mike Link................Bass
Ray Rose..................Bass

All I know of the band personally is what the insert of their compilation CD says:

"Few Christian bands have enjoyed the longevity and underground critical acclaim as Mad at the World. From the day mailman and lead singer Roger Rose stuck a tape in a record company executive's mailbox till current times, Mad at the World has turned heads with their provocative music.

"Their progression from keyboard driven angst to 'wall of guitars' social awareness is captured in this collection. The unifying thread is the Rose brothers' great writing, vocals, arrangements and spiritual challenges to take control of your life by following God's eternal plan."

World History is a look back at the bands seven previous albums. Each album has it's own feel.

Discography:

Here are a few clips from some of my favorite songs on World History. I highly recommend that you give them a listen, even if you're not Christian. Listen for the music's sake. This band is not your average "Christian Rock."

"Fearfully and Wonderfully"
--This was the song that first interested me in the band.

"Back to You"
--This is quite possibly my favorite verse that they've written.

"Not the Same"
--A little guitar, for you critics.
