Barbequed Spareribs
INGREDIENTS:
3 to 4 pounds baby back ribs.  If desired, cut into serving pieces
1/3 cup lemon juice
1 large onion thinly sliced
2 cups catsup
1 12 oz bottle chili sauce
2/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. salt
2 cups water
   Garlic powder
   Pepper
PREPARATION:
Place ribs meat side up in shallow baking pans.
Sprinkle ribs with lemon juice, garlic powder and pepper.
Cover ribs with thinly sliced onion.
Roast in very hot oven, 450 degree, for 30 minutes.
Lower oven heat to 350 degrees.
Drain off juices and fat.
Combine all remaining ingredients and bring to boil.
Pour sauce over ribs.
Continue baking for I hour.
Baste ribs with sauce every 15 minutes.
If sauce gets too thick, add more water.


Can be put on a grill.
