After two months of laziness, I finally had this section up! [Insert Dilandau laughter here] *cheers* Lazy S-chan did it! Lazy S-chan did it!
Warnings and copyrights first. This peeji/ peiji (and the rest of the site) is supposed to be funny and/or there should be ZERO angst. If you see some angst here, it means that I tried my best to keep my word and I didn't. If everything is angsty, flame me. All the statements here were done/made/said by S-chan, and not taken from any other source, so please ask permission first before you use anything here. I don't say no, but I just want to know to whom and to where my stuff is going.
Before I babble on, here are some Weiß haiku for you. In case you don't know what a haiku is [Rochelle-san: Whahahahahat? You don't know what a haiku is?!], a haiku is a form of Japanese poetry with three lines of five, seven, and five syllables, respectively. Take note that this was done by a 14-year-old high school sophomore and not a literary expert.
To save this dark world
Four pairs of bloodstained hands are
All we'll ever need.
The first is still young
But he has seen so many
And he knows too much.
Angelic, he seems
But behind this mask, he is
An angel of death.
The second pretends
His smiles belie his real self
He's not what he looks.
A wound in his heart
Would not heal. He was hurt by
A friend's betrayal.
The third's heart was bruised
Sometime before. What a surprise!
He saw her once more.
His life's ironic
He defended good before
Now look who he is!
The last leads them all
The reverse of everyone
His heart is stone cold.
His past was tragic
All was taken from him. And

They know they're guilty.

KEN: OK...
Well, anyways, my friend once said, "Stupid are those who claim they know everything about Weiß yet do not know what it means." I feel I must agree. You do not know, cannot talk about, cannot laugh about, and are not true fans of Weiß if you do not know what it means.
KEN: So what does it mean?
AYA, OMI, YOJI and S-CHAN: *sweatdrop and fall to the ground anime style*
OMI: Baka! You are a part of this team, aren't you?
KEN: *nods*
YOJI: And you do not know what the hell OUR group's name means?
KEN: Nope...
AYA: You do not have the slightest idea?
KEN: I do not have the slightest idea.
OMI: You are really stupid...
*sweatdrop* OK. For those people who are new to Weiß Kreuz and do not have the slightest idea what it means, "Weiß Kreuz" is the German word for "White Cross" [Weiß=White Kreuz=Cross]. Now, Kenken, is it clear now?
KEN: *ala Pokemon* Psy...?
*double sweatdrop* We can't do anything about it...
Now let's get on with it. I, S-chan, The Ever-so-Stupid Weißmistress, The Queen of Eternal SD-city, formulated three theories regarding Weiß Kreuz. Here they are:
The Number Theory
Have you ever wondered why there are four members in Weiß, Schwarz, and Schreient and not five like in, say, Gundam Wing or three as in, um, SS? Four in Japanese is 'shi'; 'shi' has a double meaning--death. Remember Ran/Aya's line? "Shi-neeee!!" That's why you rarely see the number four anywhere in Japan. Weiß and the rest are assassins, right? Their job is to kill. They are paid to do so. Do you now see the connection between the number four and the assassin boys and girls?
The "White Cross" Theory
This is a little hard to explain because we have to focus at Weiß for a moment. OK. The Bible says that we all have 'crosses' to bear for every sin we commit. Just like a white lie, a 'white cross' is a 'sin committed for the good many' or 'an injustice done for the sake of justice' ( I made this statement myself). Weiß are good assassins (oxymoronic statement), ne? They kill the bad guys so that 'the world may be rid of its evil'. Get it?
The German Theory
Ever asked yourself why, of all the thousands of languages in the world, the anime, the cast, the albums, the songs, and even the seiyuu have German names? Most probably it's because of the Tripartite Treaty Japan had with Germany and Italy in WW2. Besides, I think German is a really deep (and difficult) language and is suited for the plot of the anime.
Enough of that. Did you know that Weiß Kreuz, together with Gundam Wing and other shonen anime, is the subject of many yaoi stuff out there (I won't explain what yaoi is since little kids might be reading this)? Picture this: four guys working together and probably living together. What comes first to your mind? Two things: either they're relatives or there's something going on. They can't be relatives since they a.) look nothing alike b.) don't have the same surnames c.) have close age gaps. But actually there's no yaoi going on. They're just really good friends, with many years of working together.
Now there are five forms of Weiß namely the anime, the radio show, the manga, the OAV, and the Dramatic Precious (DP) albums. The DP albums are not VCD's; they're like radio shows recorded in a CD. I think the radio show came first, then the anime, then the manga, then the OAV, then the DP albums. Whatever.
Let's go to the cast. There are six main organizations in Weiß Kreuz. They are :
a.) Weiß= White
The name of the group of protagonists. It's also the name of they're seiyuu (OK. a seiyuu band who disbanded and rebanded I think).
b.) Schwarz= Black
Ironically, the name of the antagonists mean the opposite of the protags. Schwarz is a sub-organization of Estet. It's like this: if Weiß works for Kritiker, Schwarz works for Estet. The same Schwarz is also R. Takatori's bodyguard group.
c.) Schreient= Loud, Screaming
The name of the group of the girl bodyguards of Masafumi. Honestly, I don't think it is appropriate for girls...
d.) Kritiker= Critic
The name of the often underrated group in the series. Probably because of the lack of bishonen (But this is bishoujo galore). They give the missions to Weiß. So why critic? They decide who's bad and who's good, whom to kill and whom not to kill, and all that kind of stuff.
e.) Estet/SS
Estet is a secret organization composed of three anonymous old wackos whose desire is to control the world. These weirdos are really into occult and mysticism and they have psychic abilities too. They are the real reason why there is evil. They are the ones who really hired Schwarz then Schwarz was hired by Reiji Takatori who didn't know about Estet.
f.) Crashers
Not mentioned in the anime. But you might as well know about Crashers. Crashers is a non-killing organization whose job is to frame criminals so that bloodless justice can be achieved. If Kritiker investigates and researches and Weiß kills, Crashers plant evidence at the crime scene (or somewhere else) and let the police do the rest. As you know, Shuuichi Takatori (Persian) WAS Chief of the Police Department so that makes it easier. And if Weiß have cat names, (Persian, Manx, Birman, Abyssinian, Siberian, Balinese, Bombay) Crashers have chess names (King, Queen, Bishop, Pawn, Knight, Rook).
We are now in the third generation of Weiß starting from Shuuichi's father. The last two generations of Weiß have died, so they say. The first member of the third generation of Weiß is Omi, followed by Ken, then Yoji, and lastly, Aya. To hide their real jobs, they work at a flower shop called "Koneko no Sumu Ie", supposedly located somewhere in Tokyo. Don't go looking for this; you won't find it. Curious...
