MY HOBBIES Recreation in God's Creation, outdoor activities such as freediving, open water swimming, highdiving, cliffdiving, bridgejumping, running, hiking, climbing, ...

MY INTERESTS The Word of God, my family, my church and natural science.

WHAT ELSE TO SAY Because of my passion for freediving I have been travelling all over the world from 1978-1985. Ever since then I am not afraid to swim in the ocean miles away from the shore. I also enjoy running along the national hiking trails of Austria, an activity that is called Weitwandern in German. This explains the name of my subdirectory under oocities.com

MY PHILOSOPHY In all I do I look for a common denominator and higher principles. For example, I discovered that freediving, highdiving and swimming have one thing in common: they come so much easier if the focus is on minimizing resistance. Streamlining is the art of reducing resistance (drag). Does this tie into a practical philosophy? Yes it does:
To trust God and not to worry helps us to live free from anxiety and care. It is reducing resistance, not fighting it.
