Oh where, oh where to begin. Oh yeah. Trent, Trent, Trent, Trent, Trent. Do you have anything larger than a peanut in your brain? For those of you unaware, at Strom Thurmond's 100th birthday party, Trent Lott, the Senate (or House, but I don't really care at this point) Majority leader, from the great state of Mississippi, proceeded to set the state back 30 years by letting one little sentence slip from his mouth. "If we had elected this man in 1948, we wouldn't be having any of the problems we're having today." Sounds like a nice, friendly little gesture, doesn't it. The only problem is that Strom Thurmond ran for president under the segregationist "Dixie-crat" party, which fittingly enough is now defunct, though it did carry Mississippi at the time. In fact, Thurmond went so far as to state "Not the government, or army, or navy, or anything else is going to force me to put these niggers into the schools." His words, not mine. And before some of you say "Well he didn't mean it that way," guess again. He said the exact same thing in 1980 at the Ramada in Jackson. Thus, Mr. Lott, you come across to most people as a bigot, and in all actuality, you probably are still one. So tell us Trent, what are these "problems?" "colored" folk drinking from our water fountains? How's about them "niggers" attending school with our "young'uns" and "tryin' to learn their readin', ritin', and rithmetic with them?" If we were to go back to the time that Trent and Mr. Thurmond seem to remember so fondly, that probably is the mindset and pronunciation of dialogue that we would currently be using, and the gap would widen even further between Mississippi and the other states. GET OUT OF THE 1800'S!!! Please, it's for your own good. Even better, someone please tell Strom his body died somewhere around '95. And another thing. Trent, please tell me that that was just a spur of the moment quote from you, and not something written out. And why the hell were you trying to impress Strom Thurmond anyway? For those that have seen any video clips of the party, Strom looked like he did not have a clue as to what was going on around him, and Trent's quote barely got even head gesture from Strom. Trent, if that speech was written, I hope you've fired the writer because he just buried your capital pull. You've certainly lost my support, and not because of exactly what you said, though I have a huge problem with that. It's the fact that you were actually stupid enough to say it. I can't support a man with that little intelligence. Trent, I hope you have a lower turnout at your little rally in Jackson than the KKK got when they marched in Summit in 2000. And also, hopefully, you'll go the way of Ross Barnett and not be heard from again after making an ass out of yourself. By the way, do you want to know who's rushing Sigma Nu next year? I've got a list at the house. Onto more pressing matters. There's actually a scumbag attorney complaining that the Al-Queda prisoners being held in Cuba are not being treated humanely enough. Now, would someone kindly mention to him that these people also want him dead, simply because of his national origin? Better yet, would someone please tie a rope to his you-know-what, and throw him off the Empire State building? HOW ASININE CAN A PERSON POSSIBLY GET?!? These are the same people that are responsible for the deaths of some 4,000 people, and our struggling economy. And we want to treat them like humans? For the love of God, please tell me you're joking. I know that if there was a person attempting to harm any member of my family, or any one of my friends, I'd be certain to make him suffer just for the mere thought of carrying out anything against them. And, if it was up to me, every one of these prisoners would be made to sit Indian style in a cage, for 23 hours a day. They'd be fed kibble, they would not be allowed to lie down to sleep, they'd only get 1 cup of water a day (and the guards would drink the stuff by the bottles right in front of their very eyes), they would not be allowed to pray to Allah or speak their language, and the extra hour would be used to flog each and every one of these animals daily. "This would make them martyrs" some would say. I say SO WHAT! They want to kill us!!!! They do not deserve to be treated like humans. They do not deserve a fair trial, or the rights that Americans enjoy. They deserve a nice, ssssssllllooooowwwwww painful death. And finally, people are actually suing the designers of the World Trade Center towers because they were not "strong enough." Well, golly, I know that when I'm creating the blue print for a new building the first thing I'd consider would be the prospect of a f'n Boing 747 slamming right into it. So now we have people attempting to profit off of 9/11. Great. You know what, I don't blame the people that designed the towers for the deaths. Who do I blame? The 19 bastards that highjacked and flew the planes. The Al-Queda terrorist network. Those prisoners down in Guantanomo Bay, Cuba, which some sleazy lawyer is attempting to obtain human rights for. That's where the blame for all of this goes. Now for God's sake, can we please stop referring to nuclear and biological weapons as "weapons of mass destruction?" |
