Isaiah 53:1-12

· This Scripture passage is one of numerous Old Testament (OT) passages that foretold the coming Messiah

Did you know?

· There are more than three hundred prophetic Scripture passages from the OT that foretold the birth. the life, the ministry, death and resurrection of the Messiah and all of them came to fruition in the person of Jesus. They were all fulfilled by Jesus.

Today we will look at some of these passages and their fulfillment in the New Testament

· I am going to try to EXPLAIN these things and look at how the Bible EXPLAINS all things about the Christ

Let's go to Acts 8: 29-35

· The Ethiopian Eunuch needs the Scriptures EXPLAINED to him.

· He was reading from Isaiah 53:7-8

Then Luke 4: 16-28

· Jesus EXPLAINS the Scriptures to the people in the Synagogue that He is the fulfillment of the Scriptures.

Then John 4:21-26

· The woman at the well says, "When the Messiah (called Christ) comes He will EXPLAIN all these things."

· And of course Jesus declared, "I who speak to you am He."
