What is O.P.S.S.?
Overweight & Pregnant Seeking Support is a mail list for women to discuss their concerns about pregnancy, medical problems and things unique to being overweight and pregnant. It was started as a "graduate" group from OASIS-L (Overweight and Seeking Infertility Support). Expect continuing discussions on anything related to pregnancy, pregnancy after infertility, pregnancy after loss, diet during pregnancy, health problems, medical and personnel issues -- basically anything for which support is needed. It's also a place to share the little details of how your pregnancy is progressing.
The list is open to women who are more than 30-40 pounds overweight who are pregnant or trying to conceive. Keep in mind that some members will be much more overweight and this is a safe haven where everyone is to be respected.
The list is by-owner sign-on only and
is limited to 150 members and 100 messages per day. There is a 7
post per day limit for each member.
