The Beauty of a Rose

The sunlight shone on the rose petals
He watched her bring it back to life
The rose near death she nourished
Brought back to life with her tender care
Each day she coddled it along

He had given the rose to her
She meant so much to him
Carefully he slipped out the door
Over to the rose, plucked it,
and placed it behind her ear
Gently he leaned over and placed
a delicate kiss upon her lips
Turned around and walked away
Without a word she knew he loved her
He just couldn't say the words
