Josh has been mentioned only in passing until this point in time.  I feel the time has come to give him a proper introduction.  He plays a very important role, although he prefers anonymity and rarely interacts with outsiders.  When he does surface, he tends to do the required task and simply fade away.  Unlike his brother, Eli, Josh apparently has no wish to develop a life in the outside world.

Josh has a natural talent for sketching.  He was responsible for the sketches of the protectors recently added to their pages.

The musician...

A long time ago, someone gave us an old classical guitar.  Josh was the one who built up the callouses, practicing chords he learned from friends.  Folk music was popular then and that's still the style he prefers.  He hasn't picked up a guitar in a long time.  I do miss the sweet sound of his gentle guitar.

The singer...

Josh has a beautiful tenor voice and sings with the men in the church choir.  They all look to him to find the right notes when learning new songs.  Eli's voice is deeper.  When they work together, they give us quite a nice range.

The songwriter...

Josh has written many songs down through the years, but none recently.  His work is usually melancholy and dark; but his gospel compositions are filled with hope and faith.

His purpose...

Josh's purpose is much the same as my own.  He provides a creative outlet for emotions the host does not feel comfortable with.  I write words; he sketches and writes music.
