Collegiate Cabinet believes that the Wells College Board of Trustees, when announcing their October 2, 2004 decision, undermined the open, discussion-based decision-making process that is vital to a healthy Wells community. Their refusal to share information and inability to provide long-term direction and planning has placed this institution in a precarious and dangerous position.

We will remain a visible part of campus life and work in conjunction with Dean of Students, staff, admissions, and students in an honest and direct manner. We will continue to fulfill our responsibility to encourage open dialogue among, as well as be a resource to: students, faculty, staff, and the rest of the Wells community.
