JUST MY OPINION!
Two Plegmatic/Melancholys
appreciating their love for
charts and graphs.
Gerri and Sharron "team teached" tonight. Gerri covered melancholys and phlegmatics and Sharron teaches about sanguines and cholerics. Many times they make references to their interesting friendship being opposites. Gerri is a sanguine/choleric and Sharron is a melancholy/phlegmatic. It was stressed to love youself and how God made you. Don't focus on your weaknesses, your goal is to identify yourself through your strengths. God will help you work on them one at a time. Gerri stated how women these days are too hard on themselves, we have way too high expectations like; hard bodies, immaculate houses, tan bodies, perfect children..... and when we don't achieve these we are dissapointed and think negatively of ourselves.
Our speakers were Gerri Thomas and Sharron Souza. Please send them a thank you email at sksouza@earthlink.net.

Geri's Recap:
- There is only ONE you!
- God made you different, he knows the hairs on your head, he knew you before you were born!
- Psalm 139
- Job 22:16
- Pslam 55:23
- Proverbs 10:27
- Eccl 7:17
- HE is the potter, we are the clay, He makes different pots for different reasons.
- Jer 18:6
- Romans 8:21
- Man looks on the outward appearance, God looks on the heart.
- Be kind to yourself and eachother. Try to understand all personalities.
- The Phlegmatic
- Is peaceful, has stbility and balance
- Easy to get along with
- Likes friends, but happy to be alone
- Dry humor, great listener.
- resists change, seems to be lazy, a quiet will of iron.
- The Melancoly is a thinker, deep and thoughtful
- Very pesimistic, doesn't take things at face value
- Neat and tidy, has lists and charts.
- Easily depressed, self pity
- Controls others by their mood
- Takes everything personally.
- When dealing with a strong willed child sometimes it isnt about "winning" it is about keeping the relationship and keeping their spirits open to you. Once you lose them they can shut you out completely. There is a high price to pay just to be the winner all the time, you lose in the long run!
- The best way to keep a child close to you emotionally is to spend time with them. Having them right beside you doing whatever you are doing, wether it is making cookies or washing the dishes. You are "papoosing" them.
- When a child has hardened against you, get him alone and use his love language. Each child has an area you can appeal to. Food is what worked with one of Gerri's children. A hot fudge sunday at Velvet Creamery would get her to open up every time. Try getting them in the car and going on a drive, they will eventually open up.

Sharon's Recap:
- "While the Sanguine is Talking & the Melancholy is thinking, the Choleric is achieving!
- Cholerics are born leaders, they usually rise to the top very quickly.
- The question with a choleric is not IF they will take charge, but how soon.
- Golden Rule "Do it MY way NOW!"
- They have a compulsive need for change and must correct wrongs
- Stand up for the underdog
- The Sanguine loves the fairy tales of life and want to live happily ever after.
- They have appealing personality, cheerleaders and stars of the school play.
- Life of the party!
- However, they don't follow through, tend to dominate conversations, exaggerate...
- How do you get along with a Sanguine?
- Realize they like Variety and Flexablility
- Don't expect them to remember appointments or be on time
- Priase them for everything they accomplish.
- Bring them presents
- Realize they mean well
