W. E. Dunn (1922-2007) was an inventor and research scientist who, after observing the absurdities of the Labour Party in Australia, returned to find the same idiocies evolving in his own country. Hoping that satire might perhaps add a bit of humor and relieve a worsening political situation, he offered this fantasy. It was a product of the long, snowy evenings spent at his home, high on a canyon wall and accessible only by snowmobile for most of the year, where he lived with his wife, Billie, his dog, and the wild friends he fed. Dr. Dunn's serious work was in extractive metallurgy research.
