Creativity & Music will be offering a Three-day composition course at Canberra Grammar School, Canberra, ACT, Australia from July 17-19, 2007. Only seven students are accepted into each course and each student receives a one-hour private tutorial on three consecutive days. The aim of the course is for each student to complete a short composition that they can perform themselves, either as a soloist or with friends. There is also scope for students to begin more complex and larger scale works for mixed ensemble if they wish. The private tutorials means the tutor can adapt to the needs and interests of each student, and this means the course is ideal for young musicians aged upwards from 8 years, teenagers studying for GCSE music, or adults.
