The nipple fruit has a most unusual and weird form. The stem is on the
end with the nipples. It belongs to the tomato family (Jimson Weed related)
The shrub is spiny and up to 10 feet tall. This fruit is not edible.
In Taiwan, this fruit is used as offerings in shrines and temples.
The fruit has a hard skin and looks attractive for several months
with no refrigeration. The plant originated from Central America.
Research has found contraceptive compounds in the fruit.
