Meet Claudette

Name: Claudette (because it went well with Cornelius, but it turned out to be extremely fitting.)

Born: August 1999.

Adopted: October 1999.

History: When we got Claudette, she was tiny, skinny and sporting an after-surgery cone that dwarfed her in size. Our vet had found her and her siblings abandoned and, knowing that we were planning on adopting another cat, she gave her to us. She went ahead and spayed her first, hence the cone. Her early weeks with us were difficult because, even after she had healed and the cone was gone, she was just too little to handle Cornie's rough-housing. When she got a little bigger, they became fast friends.

Distinguishing features: Very sharp claws. Dainty size. Purrs easily. Doesn't like to have her head touched. Never meows, except when crying "uncle" in a game with Cornie.

Hobbies: Chasing Cornie around the house, being chased by Cornie, leaping, carrying around the curler clips from my hot rollers, playing with--and even fetching--toy mice, using her very sharp claws on the head of a sleeping person.
