Rainforests a
webquest for Stage 3 students |
Native peoples of the rainforestMany native peoples have called the rainforest home for hundreds and thousands of years. They have valuable knowledge of the rainforests, and they have taught us about many of the medicines and foods we use today. They know how to find and use wild plants and how to farm small crops in a sustainable manner. Traditionally, they live in harmony with the forest and the plants and animals.
Task 4: How do the native peoples live in the rainforest you have chosen. Describe their homes, clothing, food, and tools. How do they get their food from the rainforest? How do the children learn as they do not go to schools? Why is the forest important to these people? Why are the native peoples in danger?
