Gender Stereotypes in Taiwanese TV Commercials -Cars |
"The TV commercial completely reflects the publicˇ¦s stereotype toward women. People think women are fragile, cannot handle tough works and even needed to be protected by men. However, the wife proves that she can perform it well just like her husband does, in addition, she also shows that women can give others a sense of security.
All in all, what the commercial would like to express is that a car is no longer the symbol of a man. It is the symbol of a happy family. It is the symbol of true equality of both two genders."
