Ukrainian Adoption

In October of 2001 we completed our adoption in Ukraine thanks to the assistance and help of a great group of people  that make up IUAFN - Independent Ukrainian Adoption Family Network.  IUAFN was started by a dedicated group of families that had completed their Independent Adoptions with the help and guidance of Cathy Harris. We were the 401's family that Cathy helped.

Our adoption story began in September of 2000.  We began exploring the different options open to us to creat the family we knew we wanted.  Adoption seemed a fabulous idea and we almost immediately zeroed in on Ukraine as we liked the idea of meeting the children and interacting with them before deciding we would be a family.  Preparations to travel
