For E. McElwee
Mrs. Emma G. McElwee, 89, of 96 E. College Ave., died Monday at home after a long illness.
She was the widow of R. H. McElwee, who formerly owned a grocery in Center Village and later in Westerville.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Merle Sanders and Mrs. Avonelle Phalor, both of Westerville; a niece; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Center Village Church of Christ and the Daughter of Kings Sunday School class in the First Evangelical United Brethren Church. Mrs. McElwee was a past matron of the Pythian Sisters.
Services were held on Wednesday afternoon at the Frank E. Hill funeral home and entombment was made in Otterbein Mausoleum.
