Fabric Dyeing Workshop This workshop is for people who want to make fantastic one-of-a-kind fabrics for wearable art, quilts, or other fiber projects and work in an adventurous Italian setting. Explore several traditional Japanese resist dying techniques including: itajime (clamp resist), arashi (pole wrapping), and bound resist shibori methods. Adapt techniques to contemporary tools. Learn the ins and outs of vat dyeing with fiber reactive dyes on cellulose fibers. Make delicate pastels, vibrant colors, or rich earth tones from a few basic colors of dyes.
