Summer Fun (2005)

Charger and I have recently been enjoying our stay at Indian Hills Ranch Mainly we’re still riding dressage, and taking lessons with J. Ashton Moore. There are lots of trails for he and I to gallop about on, and sometimes people set out jump courses.

He didn’t even flinch

This is his most favorite thing in the world.

Without schooling, and with the incorrect saddle, we don’t go much higher than this, but he could easily keep going.

of course, we do occasionally knock them down (and see how helpful he is when it comes to putting them back upt?)

For something new this year, we were part of the Milipitas Fourth of July Parade. It’s a bit of a small town affair, but Charger was well behaved and we had fun (ok, it was much to slow for him, but he survived).

Here is our get-up. He had on blue leg wraps, a white saddle pad with the POW/MIA symbol, and red, white, & blue ribbons braided into his main. I had on a red shirt, and stars along my chaps.

Oh, and thanks to Jeff Corcoran, an owling friend and my ex-boyfriend, for coming down to take these pictures, and making the best damn ribs I've ever had for the BBQ after the parade.
