Gathering 5
Elizabeth Gracen
Saturday
Elizabeth came out wearing a brown dress, her hair is black and somewhat short, brushing around her chin, in a very flattering style. She sat down and had this casual chatty air about her that was wonderful. It was a great contrast to the bold and confidant Amanda,. . .one that made you respect what she had given to her character.

Q: What are you doing now?
A: I'm in California looking for a job, recovering from a lot of things,. . . .getting on with life. I'm also working with Adrian on the Peace Fund. We did a thing here yesterday, and I worked with the kids, trying to get them to be creative.
Q: What kind of chemistry did you have with Adrian?
A: From the first episode we 'just got it,' it was as if he knew her. And I knew her, she was like some people I've met in my life - like my grandmother.
Big John: Hi, my name is Big John, from Indiana.
*audience erupts in massive cheering*
EG: Ok girls,. . .what the story?
BJ: They are just the Rysher forum ladies, and they know how much I've wanted to meet you for the past 7 years.
EG: *stands up and motions for him to come forward* He takes a step or two, then leaps (floats) up on the stage. She gives him a hug and then hands him the mic with "So are you taking over now?" He performs this suave little take over and then moves on to ask her his question. He asks her to say 'Dirt', premacing that it's from the Stone of Scone, and she turns to the audience who fill her in on the scene. She remembers, passes one hand over her face while saying 'I'm getting in character', then turns to BJ and said "Dirt!"
I realize I've been standing this whole time,. . .as is most of the audience,. . .and we applaud loudly as he thanks her and she gives him another hug and a kiss on the cheek. BJ then steps,. . .or rather flies off the stage and floats back to his seat.
BJ floating
My notes from the rest of that Q/A are sketchy,. . .as we were all so captivated by how gracious she had been with one of our favorite guys.
She did discuss a fan style of fighting that was used in the Raven. Apparently she had rented this really cheesy martial arts video, but it showed some of the fan fighting. She later was mentioning it to one of the props guys, and he knew a master of the style, so they were able to find her and then incorporate it into the series.
Some of her other interests, photography and murals were mentioned in the Q/A, and she seemed rather wistful about them. She doesn't know where most of that stuff is right now, so plans to get back into her more artistic form seem rather delayed. She also mentioned how much she liked working with Alexandra.
She also said that she wishes she had treated Paul Johansen better, as there had been some misinformation at the beginning, and she had been a bit rude to him, and now regrets that a lot.

Sunday:
Q: Did you know that Paul's character was going to be immortal?
A: No, not until it happened really.
Q: Were you a tomboy or a girlie-girl?
A: A bit of both I think. I was really brave and loved to climb trees, but they I'd cry when I reached the top and wouldn't quit until someone had gotten me down. But I love hardware stores.
BJ (and first he says his name and she replies with 'hi, thanks for breakfast): If Methos and Amanda were to have had a past, where do you think they would have had the most fun?
EG: Oh, they would have had fun wherever/whenever. But I never got to play her as a full out flapper,. . you know,. . .swinging from the chandeliers.
Q: Who was your favorite actor to work with?
A: (I didn't see The Raven,. . .so I'm not very clear on her answer) The female immortal, she was Scottish. She did all these insane things, like one day she stole a van(from the set) and came running over to my trailer, knocked on the door with "Elizabeth,. . .we can escape" so I go running out, only the van's owner has arrived by now and is sitting in the seat, and she's getting in trying to push him over,. . . .she was all sorts of fun.
Q: Referencing the questions you asked Adrian and Stan, would the children be immortal?
A: I honestly don't know, . . . .but Stan answered it correctly,. . .don't you think?
Q: Would Amanda make a good mother?
A: She'd make a terrific mother. Of course, she'd have to take a good sampling of all for the father. She'd have this brood of uncles set up.
Q: Why is Seagull the worst actor you've worked with?
A: he was very forward with all the women, and,. . .it was just odd,. . .his wife was there,. . .and I was very glad that I played his sister!
Q: Who would you like to work with?
A: George Clooney,. . .but anyone I need a job!
Q: Were you having fun or scared in the tango scene?
A: It was spring with a nip in the air. It was cold, very cold. There was one wire on the edge and *holds her hands approximately a foot apart* this wide of a platform. I saw it and I freaked. You see that platform in the episode, but they built us one a bit larger. It was fun though.
