Summer Solstice

Sea-green waves
Rolling towards the horizon,
The mountain breaths deeply into my lips -
Seduces sleeping memories.

My soul stretches wide,
Tapered wings sift through etched winds,
Whispering in glaciered nooks

The silent chorus of forgotten world's
Embrace to carry me,
Gone.

The Dance

Music thrives.
Drums pulse.
An ancient arterial beat.

A fiddle slides into Celtic overlay.
Feet tap.
The gyres of life in a dance.

A growing tide,
Flowing,
Pulling ever towards forgotten ways.

A whirlpool of tribal memories drives
To centered ground of life and myth,
Future entwines past in the current of cadence.

I see in dance the truth of dreams,
And with vibrant soles my heart begins to pound.
