to meet other band members
Curtis Kloft began his musical career at age 6, playing drums for his father's band in Dubuque,
Iowa.  By age 9, he was his dad's substitute drummer.  He also played bass and rhythm guitar when dad needed help. At age 14, his dad purchased Curt's first steel guitar and formed Don and the Chapparals along with Curt's 2 younger brothers who played bass and drums.
In 1988, after moving to Cedar Rapids, Curtis hooked up with Kirk Dighton and the Plainsmen as their bass man. He also played steel for Dave Dighton, Backroads, Country Trend and Printer's Alley before joining Kirk again to form Western Justice as Kirk's "man of steel".  When he's not playing music, Curt enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 kids at their home on the NE side of Cedar Rapids and he also is in management for a local copier company.
