Westfield Horse Riding Ring |
Below is a list of Riding Ring use rules: 1. Do not lunge or ride horses through wet or soft sand areas. 2. Ring will be locked when the ground is saturated or water is standing. 3. No turning horses loose when ring is wet --- or the ring will be locked. 4. "Bucking out" (turning horse loose) a. Only when ring is unoccupied. b. Only one horse at a time. c. Five minute limit when others are waiting. 5. Do not tie horses to rails. Do not sit on rails (benches are provided). 6. No jumping of horses when ring is crowded. 7. No running of horses when other horses are in ring. 8. NEVER leave your horse unattended. 9. Do not litter --- use the trash can. 10. Trainers: ALL trainers are required to register with the Westfield Park Board at a regular monthly meeting prior to providing any training. Violators will be warned and excused from the ring. Continued violations may result in further restriction of privileges. |
The Riding Ring is located on Eastvale Road at the entrance to Westfield. The property and the ring are owned by Los Angeles County and fall under the jurisdiction of the LA County Department of Parks and Recreation. Care and maintenance of the facility is executed by Westfield's Park Board. As is with all LA County Parks, it is open to use by everyone. |
