The morning sounds greet Lily as she walked out of her little home, deep in the Ashenvale forest. She enjoyed this time of the day the most, when the forest began to stir and the air was full of the calls of birds. In the distance, she could hear the songs of the Wraithscale sirens.

Finding her favorite spot in the grass, she spread her mat out and sat cross-legged on it. She arranged her nightgown around her legs and closed her eyes ,rested her hands on her knees. Taking a deep breathe, she started to meditate, letting the sounds and smells of the forest lull her into a peaceful state.

The soft breeze drifted by Lily, stirring the long tresses of her hair, left down from the night before, teasing her nose and ears. The small smile on her lips slowly turned into a frown as she picked up a smell not native to her little glade. Tilting her head slightly, she breathed in again, trying to place the smell. It was a wild scent, one that called to her feral side, one she had smelled before but couldn’t place.

Suddenly it occurred to her the scent was a masculine one and that of a night elf. There must be a traveler coming through her glade. She opened her eyes and glanced around ,but did not see anyone, although the scent was getting stronger.

Lily started to rise from her mat, thinking to get back in her little home before the stranger could see her, when she experienced a sharp pain in the back of her neck and darkness filled her vision. The last thing she would recall when she woke, was the ground rushing up to met her as she crumpled to the ground.

Behind Lily’s prone body, stood the night elf who had delivered the precise, sharp blow to her neck, rendering her unconscious. It would be easier for him to deal with her this way. He wouldn’t have to listen to all her excuses, of her trying to talk her way out of what needed to be done.

She has a lot of potential, he thought as he lifted her body up onto his shoulder, her torso hanging down his back. As he walked away with her, her hair dragging behind him along the forest floor, he had a grim look on his face as he thought, he would be the man to bring her skills out to their fullest.
