A half hour later Lily sat still facing Ventari, her voice finally dwindling. The last sentence was carried away by the wind spirits as he sat there contemplating all that the Night Elf had told him. First thought that came to his mind was she was impetuous. Another one of those who rush in with out thinking.

“If all that you tell me is true, then my killing you would have been futile at best. You still would not have truly died, not if this Eius was not here and did not wish you dead.” Ventari sighed as he watched Lily’s eyes sadden as she nodded her head. “The bond would not have been broken.”

“What did you really wish to accomplish?” The tauren got up and moved around the camp, gathering things to brew up some tea for them both from the kettle of hot water that sat off just out of the fire. He reached for his sack of herbs, pulling out some peace bloom but when he heard her next words, he put those back and pulled out some Dreaming Glory petals.

“I just want some rest. A little peace without someone’s soul crying out to me to save them. Sleep without hearing the demon within Eius laughing because he has Eius in his grip and because Eius wants to be within his grip.” Lily closed her eyes and sighed. “Most of all, not to hear Eius’s laughter and see him as he kills another innocent creature.”

“Here.” Ventari’s voice caused Lily to open her eyes to see him holding a steaming cup of Dreaming Glory tea with a few extra ingredients in it she didn’t need to know of. The tauren grinned at the hunched over Kaldorei. “Drink this, I guarantee you will not have any problems getting some rest for…let’s say….a day or two.”

Lily cast a wary look at the cup and back up at the Shu’halo. “I guess it cannot hurt.”

“Not at all, elf. And after you have had your rest., we will take care of your problem.” he chuckled as he watched Lily sipped at the hot tea, her nose scrunching up at the taste.
