Welcome to Namedropping!

A NEW TWIST ON A CLASSIC PUZZLE

Namedropping is a fabulous word puzzle where you try to solve a quotation and the quotation's author at the same time!  Take a look at the sample puzzle below.  The letters in each vertical column go directly into the blank squares below them, but not necessarily in the order they appear.  A black square indicates the end of a word.  When you have placed all the letters in their correct squares, a quotation will be uncovered starting from left to right.  Words starting with an asterisk (*) are proper nouns and punctuation is noted to help you out.  Then transfer the letters in the numbered squares to the corresponding boxes below to reveal the author of the quote.  Print 'em out and give 'em a try!

Sample Namedropping Puzzle

Namedropping was first made for gay publications, so the six example puzzles are all from gay or gay-friendly personalities.  Depending on the quote and personality used, a huge variety of puzzles can be made, like Celebrity Namedropping, Literary Namedropping, Political Namedropping, and so on.  Feel free to use the first 6 puzzles in your publication for free!  If you and your readers like Namedropping and want to continue with new puzzles, e-mail me and we'll work out the details!  I'm also looking to get Namedropping syndicated, so if you're interested please let me know!  The puzzles can be sent in several file formats or by snail-mail, whatever you prefer.  Your readers will really enjoy this new puzzle, and your advertisers will like it too!  If you are just printing the puzzles out for your own use, enjoy!
