EFNET IRC SERVERS LIST
A bit of help to make sure you're always connected
It happens to appear that over the past week that some people have been having a difficult time to establish a connection to use their mIRC programs. A few brief reasons for this:
Servers do go offline at times for various reasons. Some don't come back online listed as they once did. They sometimes become renamed, why... I haven't a clue!
K-Lines... At times IRC Ops deny an entire ISP (Internet Service Provider) from joining a server. What you joined hours ago, may no longer exist, or be available. Possible reasons for this drastic measure... Nuking , Spamming, and other general abuse. Think twice about 'Nuking' someone, you might get your ISP disconnected from your favorite server! Don't do that to all of us! Use your heads.
A server becomes full! No further connections will be accepted, common at peek times (after 5pm)
A LIST OF SERVERS
A point of reminder, NOT every ISP is allowed on every server.
An example: irc.mindspring.com, great server for DLC West users, but users from Cable Regina are unable to connect to this one...NOT AUTHORIZED! Don't panic if you can't connect to a particular server. Just try another one.
CANADIAN EFNET IRC SERVERS
AMERICAN EFNET IRC SERVERS
This list will be a good start for many users to connect to IRC. If you have a great server that rarely lets you down, let me know... I'll post it so everyone can get logged on!
