Welcome!
Welcome all freshman and past Key Club Members. If you have forgotten, key
club is a service orgnization. All the officers are excited about getting key
club going again! Just to recap the
2003-2004 Key Club Officers are: Brittney Kirk, Pres; Patricia Riley, VP; Reina
Takahashi, Secretary; Kanaka Meyy, Treasurer; and Jen Cook, Bulletin

Summer Recap:
Over the
summer Key Club members particiapted in various events in the community. In June, the Key Club participated in Relay
For Life. Our team raised over $1,000
for the American Cancer Society. The
team also won 2nd place for best banner! Our annual summer fundraisers went into full
effect over the summer with a car wash in June, July, and August! From all our hard work washing the cars of
FTC: Fall Training Confrence
What is
FTC? Well it’s a mini one day convention
at Deleware Hays High School where between around 400 key clubbers from Ohio
will be on Sunday, Septemeber 21 from 9am until 3pm (for only $10) learning new
things about key club and how they can improve their home club. If you would like to make a difference in key
club this year or want to become more involed and learn all about what key club
really is we invite you to join us as we join other clubs in Division
14 and car-pool down leaving from early in the morning and returning later that
afternoon talk to one of the officers ASAP! (

welcome back everyone! Its going to be
an exciting year so get ready to make some keys! Just kidding we all know key club is not
about making keys, I’m sure we could make some if you
really wanted to but I’d rather help the community, anyways key club has an

and website (www.oocities.org/westlake_keyclub) so you can bug the officers
anytime! Be sure to check them out and
join our mailing group to receive emails about upcoming events and other
random stuff about when we are making keys!

Dues! Dues! Dues!
This year
dues for Key Club will be $20. Just as a
reminder paying your dues will make you an offical member of Key Club International
and you will receive a T-SHIRT, member pin, booklet, and letter from KCI. Deadline for dues is Sept. 24.

Westlake Key Club is hosting its 1st annual Back-to-School Picnic
this coming Saturday, June 6 at

Three members attended the International Convention in
Car Wash
After
having 3 summer car washes at the Shell Station, sophomore key club member
Julianne Holliday decided she would eliminate the compition for a September car
wash. And to our disbelief she was able
to reserve both Shell and Dairy Mart at the corner of Dover Center and Center
Ridge on September 13…so that’s the date Sept. 13 from 10am until 2pm of the
next Key Club car wash! All members are
encouraged to attend and earn some service points, and enjoy the inner key club
competition!!! Please bring towels, sponges, and buckets if you can!
Presidents Corner
Welcome back to a new school year!! The other officers and I hope you had a wonderful summer, but are very excited for a great new year!! We have many plans in store and look forward to meeting many new faces as well as seeing the old! The more people involved in Key Club, the more fun it can be, so invite your friends to come along to a meeting or an event! We have set high expectations to make this year very successful, and I have faith in everyone to make it a very rewarding year!! ~Brittney
