Trick or
Treat for UNICEF
Kiwanians have been working with UNICEF and other partners to
make sure no child suffers from Iodine Deficiency (IDD). UNICEF helps save, protect
and improve the lives of children around the world through immunization,
education, health care, nutrition, clean water and sanitation.
"Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF" is a 53 year-old tradition that began
when a group of kids in Philadelphia decorated milk cartons and collected
change to help kids overseas. They collected $17 that year, and since then kids
have collected more than $119 million for UNICEF! And your donations will go
even further. All “Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF” donations for IDD will be matched
dollar for dollar. "Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF" and Key Club

small groups going door-to-door
asking for donations for UNICEF (and candy!) and around

September
Recap:
Walk For Diabetes: Our Key
club joined other clubs in Div. 14 at the Cleveland Metroparks
Zoo on Sept. 20 to support Juvenile Diabetes Research with a 10K walk. All
members were instructed to wear yellow (or Div. 14 STAFF t-shirt). The most creative yellow t-shirts were worn
by Jason and Adam who decorated white and black shirts with yellow duct
tape! During the walk our group got
separated as we bonded with members of other Key clubs, this lead KateLynn and Julianne to initiate a rousing game of phone
tag. Our club raised $693. Thanks to all who attended!
FTC!!: Twelve
members of the Westlake Key Club attended the Fall Training Conference in
