if I let you go

chapter two

It was about two weeks later when Mellie went to Susan's house and found Bryan and another lad carrying some boxes and bags into the house. "Oy, help us out please!" Bryan shouted, walking past them with a big box. The girls helped them bring some small bags to Bryan's room. By the time they got everything inside, there were boxes scattered all over the floor.

"What's all these?" Mellie asked curiously. "Hasn't Susan told you?" Bryan looked up with a tired face, "my mate is moving in here." He collapsed onto his bed and buried his face in the pillows. "Moving here? Who?" she asked as a lad walked into the room. He was carrying a bag and dropped it on the floor as soon as he entered the room. "DONE!" he sighed and crashed onto the extra bed.

Bryan lifted his head from the pillow. "Mellie, meet Kian, my band mate. Kian, meet Mellie, my sister's best friend." He then buried his face in the pillows again. "Hi, nice to meet you," Kian said, shaking her hand. "Nice to meet you too, Kian," she smiled.

"So, you're from Sligo?" she asked, trying to start a conversation. "Uh huh," he nodded, unpacking his stuff, "Me, Mark and Shane are all from Sligo." "Where are the other lads?" she asked. "They are staying at other people's places. Mark's staying at his auntie's house while Shane's staying at Nicky's place." He finished unpacking, or better be said, pulling everything out from his bag and scattering it all over the room. "Have you met them?" he asked her. She shook her head, "Nah, I've only seen Nicky out of the band. He's cute. How are the others, are they cute?"

"Er ... I can't really say. You'll have to decide for yourself when you see them," he laughed. "Hey, you have a funny laugh, I love it!" Mellie said, laughing herself. "Huh? Funny laugh? That's the first time anybody's ever told me that," he laughed again. "You better get used to it, cos I bet in a couple of months, you will have girls throwing themselves at you, saying you have the sexiest bum they've ever seen," she giggled. "Is it?" he asked, standing up to look at his bum. "Get a life, you silly lolly!" Mellie said. She ripped a piece of paper from a book and took a pen, handing them both to Kian. "Oh Kian, you're so gorgeous! Can I have your autograph? Can I take a picture with you? You're so sexy, you have beautiful blue eyes, er, they are blue aren't they? Yeah! I love you," she mucked around. They both laughed.

"Oy, you guys, I'm still alive in here! Live and kicking," Susan kicked Mellie's legs playfully. "Oh yeah, we thought you were dead, cos it seems like Bryan is," Mellie replied, looking at Bryan who had already fallen asleep on his bed. "He's a total cow. I wonder how he will ever be liked with that big body. I mean, Bryan, ewwww," Susan teased as she threw a pillow at him. But he stayed asleep.

"So," Susan turned around, now facing Kian, "have you got a name for the band?" "Yeah, we've got a name, it's WestSide," Kian answered. "WestSide?" both Susan and Mellie spat out, "that's ... weird." "I dunno who actually chose it, but it's cool. Maybe because most of us are from Sligo, in the northwest of Ireland. Or maybe because we are all from Ireland, in the westside of Europe. That makes sense, doesn't it?" "Ummmmm ..." neither of the girls answered. They only nodded their heads. "But at least we've got Ronan as our manager!" Kian grinned. "Ronan? Keating?" Susan jumped up, "You're kidding me! Ronan? Ronan? Really Ronan? Oh God, that is ... oh God!" She freaked out and jumped on Bryan's bed, waking him up. "Bryan, your manager is Ronan? Ronan Keating? Ronan Boyzone? Is it true? Is it?" she screamed.

"SUSAN!" he moaned, feeling annoyed, "Get off my bed, NOW!" "Is it? Is it? Is it?" she pleaded on her knees. "Yes he is, now get out of my room. I'm tired!" He ushered them out and threw a pillow at them while they were leaving, still giggling and freaking about Ronan. "Girls!" Bryan grumbled and went back to sleep.
