love never walks alone

chapter twenty-one

two years by…

"Ow! Gosh being pregnant isn’t always as fun as it looks," I laughed as I saw the expression on Keely’s face crease up. Her baby kicking, once again. "Are you okae?" I asked her, "Yeh, I’m fine. I’ll tell you what thou’, this baby isn’t going to follow Shane and sing, he’s going to be a footballer, he kicks SO much!" "Aw, it’s lovely thou’ isn’t it?" "Yeh, y’know it is all we have dreamed of, I mean do you remember when we used to think that we’d be forty something and still on the pull? Those days seem so long ago. Now we both live with the two people we care, more about in this world than anyone. And look at me, I’m having Shane’s baby I’m living in this wonderful HUGE house…it’s so exciting and scary too" I smiled. What Keely was saying was so true.
She was now on maternity leave from work, meaning that I had been promoted to Head Showbiz Editor; everything was going really well for Westlife too. They had had success in so many places all over the world, and people had taken to Keely so much. Bryan and me had been through a tough time since before. I had forgotten about ‘it’ almost, yet still, I was always reminded about it by a rival paper, who had decided that it was going to feature regularly in their paper. Bryan and me dismissed it completely.. What more could we do really? The taunts were worse for him, especially off my family. They didn’t want me to go back to him, to them, it was a case of "if he’s done it once, he’ll do it again" but my faith in love was strong enough to know that Bryan was never going to do that again. It had made us a lot stronger together.

Shane and Keely had also gotten so close. She was now eight months pregnant, he was still traipsing all around the world ringing all day just to see if she was okae, he had been granted leave from the band for two weeks before the baby’s birth, but he just couldn’t wait. He’d go out and buy all the gifts of the world that he could. He filled up his whole house with little toys for the baby, and as he said, "I’m going to be a da" is face beamed.

Keely’s mobile went off as we sat there looking through all the baby clothes sent to her by fans, "Hello" she said, "Hi Keely it’s me." "I know it’s you Shane, what is up, you only rang me five minutes ago. Haven’t you got any work to do?" I laughed, It was like the twentieth time Shane was ringing to find out if Keely was okae, "For god’s sake Shane, I tell you this every day, I’m only pregnant…I’m fine" he was such an overprotective little thing. He couldn’t wait for the birth of his first child. He was convinced it was a girl, whereas Keely said it was a boy. One thing I knew for sure was that whatever, this baby was going to be part of the most loving family around.. His opportunities would never be at limit. And he couldn’t ask for a better
mommy or daddy.
