kian is single once again
"Essex symbol ... Jodie grew tired of missing Kian"
WHAT is it about WESTLIFE's KIAN EGAN – has he got bad
breath or
something?
I only ask because another of his relationships has ended after
just
a few weeks.
The latest girl to kick him into touch is JODIE MARSH, the shapely
siren who shot to fame in TV documentary Essex Wives and whose
talents include pole-dancing and appearing on The Sun's Page 3.
Kian and Jodie got together last month after meeting at London's
Click nightclub. They had a series of steamy dates but Jodie
complained that Kian was always working.
Now she's given him the push.
A pal said: "Jodie got tired of never seeing Kian and made
her
feelings clear to him.
"Kian said he could do nothing about it because Westlife
were
rehearsing for their tour.
"After a long phone call, they decided to call things off."
Kian's relationship with Jodie is his second failed romance
in just
two months.
He split with ATOMIC KITTEN's LIZ McCLARNON on Valentine's Day
–
after an impressive two weeks together.
His last serious relationship, with Swedish dancer JESSICA FORSMAN,
lasted more than a year but ended last October.

Interview Westlife
Trading punches with So Solid is NOTHING against the pant-wetting
pressure of the QUESTIONS FROM THE FANS! See how crooning Casanovas
Westlife get on...
Jenny 4 Westlife: How much influence has Ronan Keating had on
Westlife?
Shane: Ronan Keating had quite a big influence on us at the start. We
were a new band and he'd been in the business for a long time and he
was there to give us advice and help us get started. After that we
pretty much took on that aspect ourselves.
Sarah: What do you think about Blue? Do you think of them as
your
competition?
Bryan: I don't think we see Blue as competition really. We're too
completely different kind of groups. Our music is very different and
I think it's the perfect of how two similarly styled groups can be
very big. It seems that we're the two biggest bands in pop at the
moment.
Mark: Y'see you bring their CD to the party and you bring our CD into
the bedroom.
Bryan: Unless you have a tape player...then you use a tape.
Mark: Bryan's very intelligent, so of course he would think of things
like that.
Jemma: Has the birth of Bryan's baby Lily Sue made you all feel
broody?
Nicky: To be honest with you it was more like that with Molly.
Obviously knowing the lads for five years and one of us having a
little human being was amazing. Lilly Sue has added to it but that
initial feeling was definately after Molly was born.
Louise Boje: Hiya Westlife! What can we expect from the forthcoming
tour?
Mark: Madness!
Kian: This tour you can expect an awful lot of things. We think the
show is very exciting. Obviously we've put a lot of thought and money
and effort into this show. Anyone who has seen one of our shows will
know that they're always very exciting shows. There's never a point
where anyone could get bored. It's not like when you see us on TV and
we're just stood there singing the songs. We've concentrated a lot
more on the vocals and on the music than the dancing. We just
guarantee any one who comes and sees us that they'll see a good show,
like we always do.
Hayley Gibbon: What ringtones have you got on your mobiles at
the
moment, and have you ever had one of your own songs on there?
Mark: Simon Cowell used to have a ringtone that wolf whistled at him.
Shane: My dad still has Merry Christmas on his.
Bryan: I just have the standard one [sings the Nokia ringtone]
Kian: Er, I'm not sure what mine's called.
Nicky: I can honestly say I've never, ever had a Westlife song on my
phone.
And with that, the fellas were off to rehearse for the show!

Kian celebrates after reaching number one
Westlife¡¦s
Kian Egan celebrated into the early hours of Saturday
night after the band reached number one with latest single Tonight.
The single which was released early last week, went straight into
number one in Ireland, but only reached number three in England.
A source close to the band said: ¡§The band were delighted with the
Irish number one, but were a bit disappointed with number three in
England.¡¨
Kian, who recently bought an apartment in London, began his Saturday
night in the city¡¦s West End before ending up in Click, a popular
celebrity nightclub.
Kian spoke to the Weekender, when he was last home. ¡§Moving into
my
apartment was great. It gives me more comfort and beats staying in
hotels all the time. I can make the place my own.¡¨
Singer/songwriter Bryan McFadden spoke on behalf of the group about
reaching number one in Ireland.
He said: ¡§Reaching number one is still a major thrill for us and
especially when we do it in our own country.¡¨
But when asked about who he¡¦d like to see in next week¡¦s
top spot,
he sided with You¡¦re A Star runner-up Simon Casey. Simon releases
his single A Better Plan, written by Bryan, this week.
¡§I would love to see Simon reach number one. It would mean a lot
to
me, as it would be my first number one as a songwriter.
¡§I think we¡¦ve had enough number ones and I¡¦d
like to see a
newcomer get the chance to be at the top.

Kian in So Solid bust-up
Kian
Westlife has been involved in a scuffle with So Solid's Asher A
at a recent charity event. Both Westlife and So Solid took part in
the Dunk 'N' Funk celebrity basketball event at Crystal Palace in
aid of the Everyman cancer charity, and for some reason, ex-con
Asher D began to taunt and insult the Westlifer. At first Kian
ignored the taunts, but it soon ended up with the pair jostling and
trading insults. After cooling down, Kian revealed, 'It all got
really competitive and heated on the court.' However, this isn't the
first time a Westlife boy has had a run-in with a So Solider. Bryan
threw a drink at the Crew at last year's Brits but has since
apologised for his outburst. So, what next? Mark exchanging slaps
with Lisa Maffia?! Sort it out, guys!

So Solid Crew Vs. Westlife
01/04-2003
Once upon a time there was a beef between garage hard boys So Solid
Crew and Irish softies Westlife. They kissed and made up but now its
back on again!
At
a charity basketball match in South London this weekend the two
crews faced up to each other with So Solid's Asher D and Westlife's
Kian nearly coming to blows.
On
lookers say Asher D was taunting Kian through out the match and
threatened him. Dane Bowers, who is friends with Westlife, happened
to be playing for So Solid's team but was so disgusted he walked off
court.
It
got so heated that the two had to be taken off court and security
had to intervene to cool things down.

Westlife Kian takes his pick-31 mar 2003-
Westlife hunk Kian Egan is a lucky boy at the moment - with his pick of
big-busted models to chose between.
The
singer was first linked to UK glamour model Jordan. But blonde Kian
has now set his sights on fellow model Jodie Marsh.
A
friend of the singer reveals, "They always go out with a group of
friends so it doesn't look like they're seeing each other. But last week
Kian snogged Jodie. Kian's lucky to pull a woman like that."
"He's
just come out of a relationship with Liz from Atomic Kitten. He
really liked her and took it badly when she ended it. But he's smiling
now. Jodie has stayed at his Chelsea flat a few times, so draw your own
conclusions."

Basket cases - Westlife and So Solid in charity game bust-up
You'd have thought Westlife would have learnt not to mess with So Solid
Crew. But they can't seem to stay away from spats with the self-styled
bad boys.
This
time, it was 'Life's Kian Egan who got himself mixed up with So
Solid hardman Asher D. Not the best idea when Mr D - real name Ashley
Walters - served seven months for possessing a loaded pistol last year.
It
all kicked off at the Dunk 'N' Funk celebrity basketball event at
Crystal Palace, South London, on Sunday, in aid of the Everyman cancer
charity.
For
some reason, Asher, 21, took an instant dislike to Kian, who was
feeling tender after a boozy night which ended when he staggered out of
Click nightclub at 6am.
On
court, Kian ignored the rapper's taunts and carried on playing,
along with bandmate Bryan McFadden. But Ashley was having none of it...
"Asher
was really harassing him during the game and wouldn't leave Kian
alone," says our spy. "He really had it in for him.
"Asher
threatened Kian and it all turned a bit nasty. Dane Bowers,
who's a good friend of the Westlife boys, was actually playing on the So
Solid team - and he was so disgusted by Asher's behaviour that he walked
off."
We
hear it ended in jostling and an ugly slanging match between
22-year-old Kian and Asher.
"It
looked like it was all going to kick off and it got quite physical
on the court. They took the match incredibly seriously, even though it
was for charity," continues our spy.
"At
one point, Kian shouted at Asher: 'You're a w***er!' Asher shouted
back: 'I'll see you outside!'
"Everyone
could see their argument was going to end in a fracas, so the
officials were forced to intervene. Security men pulled both teams off
the court, to allow them all to cool down. "No one was hurt in the end
but it was a really close call." Last night, Kian told us: "It all
got
really competitive and heated on the court. But we settled our
differences afterwards."
A
spokeswoman for Asher said: "There was a bit of argy-bargy. Things
got heated and people were getting hot under the collar.
"But it was all in the name of sport and they shook hands afterwards."
Maybe
the on-court drama wasn't so surprising, given the fact that
there's a bit of history between the acts...
Kian's
bandmate Bryan had a run-in with So Solid at the Brits Awards
last year.
A
drunken Bry thought it was a good idea to challenge all 30 Crew
members to a fight. He threw a drink at them and not-so-wisely shouted:
"You're crap!"
Westlife's
security had to step in to protect father-of-two McFadden
and calm the angry star while members of So Solid threw bottles at him.
And
maybe Kian will think again before tangling with Asher. The rapper
was jailed for 18 months last March for possessing a loaded gun.
The
father-of-two - who served seven months - had been cornered by an
armed response team after a row with a traffic warden.

Dunkin' Doughnuts
We're
used to musclebound rappers getting all big and tough and
having 'beefs' with their rivals, it's hard to imagine that the
floppy-haired, skinny-ankled likes of Westlife doing the same, and at
a charity event too!
But
that's what happened at the recent Dunk 'N' Funk basketball
tournament in aid of the Everyman Cancer charity. According to the
Mirror, Asher D from So Solid reignited a feud with Irish idols
Westlife, taking an instant dislike to Kian, and taunting him
throughout the game.
One
onlooker told the tab: "Asher threatened Kian and it all turned a
bit nasty. Dane Bowers, who's a good friend of the Westlife boys, was
actually playing on the So Solid team - and he was so disgusted by
Asher's behaviour that he walked off. Everyone could see their
argument was going to end in a fracas, so the officials were forced
to intervene."
Despite
being on the brink of fisticuffs, both lads shook hands
afterwards, before pouring custard into each others' shoes, probably.

HEART-THROBS
Westlife have given the thumbs-up to The Sun's Give A

The
boy band broke off from their busy schedule to say: "We back The

Telly
funnyman Graham Norton is another celebrity supporting our

hearted Sun readers.
He
said: "I would encourage the British people to give generously.
Iraqi children did not ask to be in a war and have already had years
of hurt under a cruel regime."
Our
idea is simple. We want every one of our readers to spare £1 to
lessen the suffering of little ones in Iraq.

Flash Dance! Bryan loses his cool
You've got to hand it to Westlife. Whether their fans are wetting
themselves, throwing knickers at them or crying down their shirts, the Irish
five-piece -Bryan McFadden, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan and
Mark Feehily - usually manage to keep their cool.
Unfortunately
for "lad" of the group Bryan, he lost his nerve on
Thursday night when an over-zealous fan in Manchester's Lucid nightclub gave
him an eyeful.
The
band were playing to 400 competition winners when a cheeky blonde
had the bottle to jump on stage and whip up her top at the embarrassed
singer. Bryan's wife and mother of their two daughters, former Atomic
Kitten Kerry Katona, has a fine set on her. But by the look of it Bryan
found these enormous puppies quite offensive. His reaction was one of:
"Get them away from me!"
Kian,
quite clearly relieved to be a few feet away, found the stunt
hilarious, but we're not too sure of Nicky's reaction.

Kittens come to Kerry's defence
Atomic Kitten have leapt to the defence of former member Kerry Katona
after she said she didn't sing on any of the tracks.
She
let it slip last week on Channel 4's 'The Salon' where she was a
celebrity customer.
But the girls insisted to Radio 1 she didn't actually mean it:
"It
was a joke, 'cos everyone really took it seriously, they were like
'Huh? Oh no!'. And it was like, it was a joke, you know, chill! She DID
sing on the songs."
"I
don't think people get the northern humour - she said it from the
first moment she was in Atomic Kitten 'well I don't sing anyway.'"
"She's
said it for years hasn't she? I think maybe people are just
trying to make something light-hearted in the news."
Atomic
Kitten's new single 'Love Doesn't Have To Hurt', is out next
week.

Westlife’s secret date
Westlife is to play a secret gig at Manchester’s newest club, Lucid.
On
Thursday, March 27, the lads, who in the past have played 11
sell-out gigs at the 21,000 capacity Manchester Evening News Arena, are to
play live in front of a comparatively intimate crowd of just 1,400.
In
the one-off exclusive show at The Printworks venue, the boy band is
expected to play a 40-minute set, including their new single Tonight,
which was only released on Monday (March 24) and is tipped to reach
number one this weekend.
Bolton
comic Peter Kay and Coronation Street’s Samia Ghadie (Maria),
are expected to be in the audience at the invite-only gig. It is part of
an exclusive launch for the new £10m basement club, which opens its
doors for the first time to the public on Friday (March 28).
It
covers a massive 35,000 square feet space underneath the complex,
which has never been used before for any commercial use.
And
it will have eight different sections to it, including a restaurant
with giant screen entertainment, bowling, pool tables and an
interactive games room.
It’s
not yet clear, whether owners – Canadian company Magicorp – plan
to regularly use the space to bring us the biggest names in music.
However,
Westlife fans can take some solace in the fact that there are
still tickets up for grabs via competitions on six radio stations
across the region.
And
those who can’t get in can take heart, as the stars are returning
to Manchester in June for a four-night stint at the M.E.N Arena.

Designs are a cut above the rest, says ex-Kitten
A former "Kitten" has helped select the cream of Ulster's young design
talent.
Kerry
McFadden, an ex-member of Atomic Kitten and wife of Westlife's
Bryan McFadden, was a judge at this year's final of the Coca-Cola Form
and Fusion Design Awards at the Ulster Hall last night.
The
fashion show featured up to 34 designs from 31 schools from across
Northern Ireland, all competing to secure places in the all-island
final in Millstreet, Co Cork in May.
Now
in its second year in Northern Ireland, the Coca-Cola Form and
Fusion Design Awards challenged students to create costumes which were
visually stunning as well as environmentally conscious.
Each
of the costumes were made using materials that would otherwise
have been thrown away.
Overall
winner on the night was Newry and Kilkeel Institute with their
piece "Entrapment".
First
runner-up went to "All Dolled Up" from Rathmore Grammar School in
Belfast and second runner-up went to "Verscheiden Van Ouschuld", from
St Columb's College in Derry.
Kerry
McFadden said: "I had a fantastic day in Belfast judging the
competition.
"The
standard of all the entries has been absolutely amazing, the
creativity and imagination on show is a testimony to the fantastic talent of
the young people and the support of their teachers."
Meanwhile
Belfast Fashion Week was coming to a close today with a final
show at the Northern Whig featuring Top Shop and Top Man.
The
four-day event was hailed a success by organisers Claire Shiells
and Maria Mohan, who said Belfast was fast becoming one of the most
stylish cities in Europe.

Westlife have played a rare low-key concert to an intimate crowd of
competition winners.
The
singers performed a short set to around 400 fans who had won
tickets from their local independent radio stations across the North of
England.
The
show formed part of the opening night of Manchester nightclub
Lucid.
The
band enjoyed some of the traditional perks of the job, struggling
to hear themselves over the sound of screaming girls and fielding
underwear thrown at them from the audience.
At
one point, the five men even appeared embarrassed as one
over-zealous fan managed to make her way on to the stage and expose herself
before
being ushered away by security guards.
Several
hundred others, including a host of stars from soap operas
Coronation Street, Brookside and Hollyoaks, watched the concert on screens
from elsewhere in the club.

Making A Difference : Westlife Granny Has Heart Of Gold
Westlife granny Mary Feehily was completely taken by surprise when she was given this week's heart of gold bouquet.
Sitting beside her on the couch at her home in Cloghermore, Calry was her granddaughter Hazel McGowan. But unknown to Mary, Hazel was the reason why we paid her a visit on a warm summer-like evening.
Hazel
(11), who lives nearby said in her letter: "Nana has looked after all of
her grandchildren since we started school. She reared nine children, ran a shop
seven days a week and also worked on a
farm.
"Everyone looks up to her and she is flying it for her age." Mary is 83. Despite an age gap of 71 years, this relationship between granny and granddaughter couldn't be closer.
Mary said: "Sure I love having them all over. They keep me going." Despite having Westlife star Mark Feehily as a grandson, Mary treats them all the same. She said: "Mark comes over to visit me all the time. He spent a lot of his childhood here." Mary has photos of all generations of the Feehily family which cover two walls of her sitting room. One photo stands out of her and Mark. Inscribed on it is a message from Mark. It reads: "What can I say about you Nana, you are one of the best people I know."
Hazel's
letter explains why this goes for all of Mary's grandchildren. "She is
always there if you want a cup of tea and a chat. Everyday I look forward to
going over to her after school.
"She is also a great cook and she is passing all her skills and secrets
on to me.
"I just wanted her to know that I love being with her and that she means
the world to me."

The band enjoyed some of the traditional perks of the job, struggling to hear themselves over the sound of screaming girls and fielding underwear thrown at them from the audience.
At one point, the five men even appeared embarrassed as one over-jealous fan managed to make her way on to the stage and expose herself before being ushered away by security guards.
Several hundred others, including a host of stars from soap operas Coronation Street, Brookside and Hollyoaks, watched the concert on screens from elsewhere in the club.

Mark is one of Shane’s choices for the wedding day
Westlife’s Shane Filan has asked Mark Feehily to be one of the groomsmen
for his wedding.
Shane, who is getting married to childhood sweetheart Gillian Walsh on Sunday
December 28, asked Mark last week.
A source close to the band revealed: “Shane arrived up to Mark’s
door and asked him. “Mark was totally surprised and shocked. He never
expected to be asked. He is over the moon and can’t wait for December.”
Shane
and Gillian are tying the knot in Ballintubber Abbey and the reception will

Worst Life
Westlife seem to be on a desperate hunt for new songs after confessing that
their last few songs were, er, well, rubbish. Now stop looking smug all you
Slipknot fans at the back. At least the lads have the courage
(or stupidity) to be truthful.
A sweary Shane told Capital FM DJ Neil 'Foxy' Fox (spot the hidden cuss word, rudery fans): "The most important thing is to have great songs for the next album because I think, if we can be honest and put our hands on our hearts, the last couple of songs we've done have been useless. We need to come back now with a great album. They were alright but they were a bit s****."
Kian, perhaps getting ahead of himself, added: "We'd love to do a song along the lines of something by Coldplay. If Chris Martin wants to work with us on a song that'd be great. He's a big Westlife fan." Er, yeah, right Kian. We suspect Chris' tongue was firmly in his cheek when he said that, or perhaps he'd had a rush of blood to the head.

Jordan won't accept she can't have Kian
HE'S used to women flinging themselves at his feet. But Westlife star Kian Egan was less than happy about receiving attention from glamour girl Jordan.
The surgically-enhanced model bombarded him with text and voice messages begging for a date.
Jordan, 25, told the Irish heartthrob that she thought he was "gorgeous and very sexy" and said she wanted to get to know him a whole lot better.
Using skills Sherlock Holmes would have been proud of, she tracked down his number after she wrongly heard that Kian had a crush on her.
Unfortunately for her Kian, who recently split from Atomic Kitten Liz McCLarnon, was not interested.
But the more the 22-year-old singer ignored her messages, the more frantic they got.
And it didn't seem to bother Jordan, who has a baby, Harvey, by soccer player Dwight Yorke, that she is dating millionaire's son Scott Sullivan. Pals of the singer say that sometimes the texts would arrive at the rate of four or five and hour.
But fellow bandmembers warned him not to have anything to do with her and for once Kian didn't argue.
Says our perfectly placed source: "Kian was getting so many texts from Jordan that he would have to turn off his phone and no one could get hold of him.
"Every time he turned it back on up would pop another message from Jordan.
"At first he thought they were a joke but then they started getting more and more serious and he got completely hacked off by the whole thing. He was too afraid to text or call her back. He knows what a maneater she is and she scares the hell out of him.
"He thought ignoring her was the answer but it only seemed to make her more determined."
Plastic surgery-loving Jordan has a thing for pop heart-throbs.
In 2000 she dated Another Level singer Dane Bowers. But their romance ended in acrimony and the pair are no longer on speaking terms.
Last year she declared she had taken the virginity of Pop Idol runner-up Gareth Gates, a claim which the singer vigorously denies.
And then in October she snogged Duncan James of boyband Blue while she was still seeing ex-boyfriend Matt Peacock.
And even though they shared a bed she later insisted they didn't "go all the way".
