They got in the door and accidentally slammed it shut again. ’s head popped up over the sofa and he gave a really evil look. Sweat was pouring down ’s face and he didn’t have a top on. “Sorry mate,”

Three months later the girls had settled in and everything was going great. They had all been friends for years but nothing could prepare them for what was going to happen. Because of the boy’s work they had to go away quite often. This time they had to fly to America. They would be away for four months. The day they left and went shopping. They had been out for hours and were just about to get the bus home when somebody started shouting in the street. They realised he was watching the televisions in a shop window. People started to crowd round it and there were whispers of ‘Oh no!’ ‘How did that happen,’ and other things. The girls decided to ignore it and get on the bus.

As soon as they got home they switched on the television. On every channel there was newsflashes about a plane crash. It was the same plane and were on.

“You still have us,” said.
“But I want him.”
