BACK Those two words
By Lynsey

Gemma was too scared to even close her eyes. She knew that if she did she might miss the best part. She didn’t want to miss any of what she was experiencing right now. As she glanced in the mirror she thanked god that she had went to her friend’s house that day. If she hadn’t she wouldn’t be stood here, waiting. Waiting for her father to take her hand. She looked to each of her five friends before hugging them each in turn. She reached her last friend and hugged her a little tighter than the others “thank you, Lynz.” Her friends looked shocked “why are you thanking me? It’s not me your marring!” she laughed “but if it wasn’t for you dating Shane and inviting me to your house that day. I wouldn’t be here now. And this wouldn’t be happening.” The two girls smiled at each other as the thought back to that day.

Flashback
“Gem, you look glum. Shane’s coming over tonight why don’t you come? It might cheer you up.” Gemma looked hesitant “come on. I’ll tell him to bring his blue eyed mate for ya.” “Lynz all his mats have blue eyes.” She giggled “you know who I mean.” Lynz laughed at her own words, well they all did have blue eyes! Gemma made her way to the front door, knocking lightly she stood there her blonde hair flowing freely behind her. Kian made his way to the door and opened it. Lynsey saying she was too ‘busy’ to answer. When he did he was so glad, she was gorgeous and all his. If what Shane had said was true, she liked him and he knew right away that he liked her.
End Of Flashback.

Her father took her hand as the music began. The butterflies were now bouncing and her emotions were all over the place. She couldn’t control her excitement but at the same time she wanted to cry. She was only 22 and yet she felt like she had lived all her life, she had a brilliant job, a sexy man by her side and the 5 best friends any girl could ask for. She slowly stopped walking and began to turn, was she doing the right thing? She wasn’t sure and yet she had been so sure when he had asked her.

Flashback
It wasn’t how she had expected to be spending Valentines Day, all alone. Lynsey was in the same position having the same kind of boyfriend that she did. It wasn’t the fact that she was alone, it was just, well she hadn’t seen him for 6 months and it was getting to her. She and Lynz and decided to spend it watching old movies and eating loads of junk food since they were both seeing someone but alone, coz their partners were at the other end of the world. Halfway though the first film came the surprise. A knock on the door. Kian and Shane both standing at the door dripping wet. While Lynsey pulled Shane inside the house Kian had pulled her out and into the rain beside him. She was happy to be in his arms and loved him so much she didn’t protest. He took her by the hand and lead her to the top of the hill “do you know where this is?” he asked, “of course I do. This is where you first to me you loved me and I you,” she replied looking deeply into his eyes. He bent down on one kn ew kiss her hand lightly before asking “Gemma, I love you and you’d make me so happy if…” she gasped as he pulled out the beautiful diamond engagement ring “you would marry me?”
End Of Flashback

No, no she was sure what she wanted and she knew it was at the end of the isle waiting for her. Waiting to take all her fears and bad memories away. She turned back and faced the front. She looked in his direction and smiled a winning smile. She felt as if she was floating about the clouds and that nothing could touch her

She neared him and all her fears seemed to come rushing back. What if he hurt her, like she had been before? What if… what if… Her head was full of what ifs. She glanced out of her eye at the 5 best friends. She caught Lynz’s eye. Lynz seemed to know what she was thinking and with one large smile made her turn back round. She looked at Kian. He looked so good standing there in his morning suit with Shane, his best man and Mark, Bryan and Nicky, his ushers, standing next to him, she didn’t really notice a difference though. He always looked so good to her.

She smiled at him the whole way though the ceremony anxiously waiting for the chance to say those two words. Her chance finally came “I do” she cried with tears of happiness. All the doubts suddenly vanished from her mind and it was as if only she and Kian existed as her kissed her. Those two words had taken away all of her doubts and brought her closer to the happiness she was searching for inside. Here was only one thing now missing from her life and they could both work on that together. On the honeymoon.
