Our back -up band for the 2004 Christmas Concert did an awesome job. Our amateur show was much more professional because of their talents.

Larry Roulette:

Hails from Eddystone/Alonsa area of Manitoba. He says he doesn't remember learning how to play or sing.  He toyed with banjo & mandolin as a child and has been playing guitar since he was 4 yrs old! Larry plays a lot with Melanie Ostash, a local violinist and the two are currently collaborating on a techno version of 60's rock.  Now employed with the Brandon RHA, Larry enjoys his music and is also the comedian of the group.  His one-liners are famous with everyone who knows him.

Ron Fleming

Ron started playing 16 years ago. Now he is not only a guitar player for Guns On Fire but also vocals, harmony and an harmonica player as well.  He is also a leading luthier with his own brand of guitar called "Black Hart".   Ron is married with two children, one boy/one girl.  His daughter is following in the family footsteps and beginning to sing.  Ron's parents are an integral part of our Jams with his mother playing lap steel and his father playing acoustic guitar and singing. Ron formerly played with "Gypsy Hurricane" in the Westman region. (EDITORS NOTE: When you get Ron and Larry together its hard to decide if you are at a musical event or a comedy club.  Leanne Doty once described them as the nuts in a box of chocolates!)

Phil Wilk

Born and raised in Asheville, Manitoba Phil began his musical journey at the age of 14 yrs.  He plays guitar, harmonica, sings vocals and harmony and when on the stage, he displays many hidden ASSets!  (hehe...ask a jammer....) Phil moved to Brandon in 1966 and continues to reside here with his wife. They have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.  He previously played with bands such as NorthWind, ToeTappers, and The Serenaders to name a few. He also partakes in his church choir and does many charity gigs with various musicians at fundraisers and personal care homes . He now plays with Martin and Helen Lepine and the Heartbreakers and helps out with Guns On Fire when asked.

Debbie English

Debbie is the fiddle player of the group when her time allows her to join the band.  She is also an invaluable part of the jams with her energy, wit, and enthusiasm.  Debbie was trained in violin as a concert violinist and has only recently found her true niche in country music.

She is also a piper but says she cannot demonstrate this skill as her bags have dried up!!!

 John Thompson

John graciously agreed to lend his considerable talent to the band for the purposes of the Christmas Concert.  Everyone who knows him agrees that he is one of the best lead guitar players in the country and if you were lucky enough to hear him you will know what they mean.  THANK YOU JOHN!!

Ryan Lepine

Ryan is the son of Martin and Helen Lepine and an awesome drummer.  Fortunately for us he was available over Christmas and sat in with Guns On Fire.  He is currently touring with different bands throughout Canada.  If you get a chance to listen to him you won't be disappointed.

Westman Jams would like to thank "GUNS ON FIRE" and guests for their unflagging support, and most of all their generosity in donating their time and talent to our charity event and making it such a huge success! We look forward to many more collaborations in the future.
