The Wetmore Cemetery was established in 1885. There are 160 graves with markers. Right now if you want to see it you have to park your car at the "Wetmore Cemetery" sign (at the intersection of Higgins and Stahl Roads) and call one of the two numbers listed on the sign to gain access to the site.

The Schulmeirer Cemetery was established in 1907 by Leopold and Johanne Schulmeier on what was their Ranch, according to one of his grandsons, Alton J. Schulmeier. Both his grandmother and grandfather were born in Germany. All of those buried in cemetery are descendants of Leopold schulmeier or their spouses except for Maria Gonzales, who lived on their ranch. . There are 24 graves with markers. It has been fenced off from the Public since 1967. When I contacted the Capitol Cement Plant and ask them if they could move the fence so the Cemetery can be cleaned up reopened, they informed me that the land is owned by BEXAR COUNTY and they are responsable for the cemetery's neglect. Right now if you want to see it you have to park your car at the "Wetmore City Limits Club" walk across the street, across the railroad tracks and crawl under some bushes to see the headstones hidden in the overgrowth.
