1988 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z
Well, there it is.  200 bucks.Interior in very good shape.  Car was red, but repainted by a 17 year old in a driveway about 5 years ago.  Not bad considering.  Note the greasy but good running 2.2L Turbo 1.
After looking for about 6 months for a 2.2 Turbo car, I purchased an '88 Shelby Z.  200 bucks.  From all of them I've seen, this one is in really good shape.  No floorpan rust, No boddy rust.  Just needed some mechanical TLC.
Of course, none of my cars can be without a trip down the quarter mile.  Day after purchase this one ran a 16.99.  No turbo boost, catalytic was plugged, and other nuisance items.  I had my baseline, though.
After getting things in good working order, I first installed an intercooler out of a '91 Probe.  IC piping was pieces of exhaust pipe and radiator hoses. Also included the Probe BOV.  I then installed a simple bleed to boost to 14 lbs.  This plus a basic interior gutting netted a 15.08 at 95 mph.  Hit overboost in first, fuel pump went kaput in 3rd.
Regretfully, this car is no more.  In 2003 the interior was gutted.  I made some aluminum panels inside.  I dropped the diff out and welded it solid.  Installed a HUGE cumming intercooler.  Bled the MAP and cranked the boost up.  The combination of a welded diff and gutted interior made for a really horrible car.  Soon after I decided to get out of TD's and concentrate on my Ford.  In 2004, the Ford dropped into the 10's and I felt it was "done".  I started missing the boost and decided to get back into TD's.  Great, after selling a good size collection of stuff, I now want to get back into it!
