Morning Star Weyr
"I'm sick and I'm tired of it, Haven," Daemon sighed. "He didn't even send us to Earth. We're on some planet where we can't even mess with the people's minds."
"Oh, Daemon, hush up," Haven sighed as she fixed her hair. "I don't even know why I down here. You're the one that screwed up."
"I didn't follow one order!" Daemon screamed. "I don't think that counts as a banishable crime."
Haven snorted at Daemon, "You didn't think anything you did should be punished, and half the time, it wasn't. You're just paying for everything that you didn't get punished for."
"Haven," Daemon growled. "Shut up, or I'm going to shut you, permenently."
"No need for violence, Daemon, but that was always the only way you knew how to solve something. I swear you had to be sent in the wrong direction when you died."
"Haven, I'm warning you," Daemon growled again.
"Oh, I'm so afraid," Haven sighed sarcassitically.
Suddenly, a light laughed echoed in the two 'angel's' heads. They both turned to see a large blue dragon standing behind them. They sighed and turned away.

Stop listening to us, Daemon thought to the blue.

Yes, please, we do not wish for anyone to know our secret, Haven sighed.

I'm not going to tell anyone. I even didn't let my rider hear, The blue sighed. But if you can bespeak that loudly, I believe you would me fine candidates.
Don't need a dragon, Daemon said.

We can already fly, Haven added.

What about companionship? The blue asked. Obviously, you two don't enjoy each other's company.
Haven and Daemon turned back to the blue,
Well, they both thought.
"Oroth, who are you speaking to?" K'dron asked as he approach the dragon.
Haven and Daemon pulled their wings close to their bodies.
He won't notice, Oroth sighed. Just two people whom I thought would make fine candidates.
  "Well," K'dron sighed. "Introduce me."
Oroth turned back to Haven and Daemon,
Them.
Haven and Daemon avoided eye contact with the bluerider. K'dron looked around and tried to look in Haven's eye. Succeeding, Haven blinked slightly.

He has a fine soul, Haven thought to Oroth.

Why do you think I chose him? Oroth sighed, pausing for a second. You have a fine soul as well, Haven.

You have to be joking, Haven thought as K'dron sat down next to her and Daemon.
"So, would you be interested in going back to Utopian with us, and trying to Impress," K'dron sighed.
Haven nodded and Daemon sighed, "I guess."
  Oroth snorted,
I'll be surprised if there's a dragon with enough gaul to Impress him.

As Oroth landed gently at Utopian, several others came to greet K'dron and his blue, and to welcome the new candidates, whomever they may be. Haven smiled at all who had come to greet them as Daemon slinked slowly away from the crowd, trying to concel his wings as he squeaked past everyone. He breathed a sigh of relief as he rounded a corner. The glanced around and seeing no one, he spread his wings.
"Oh, my!" Someone shouted behind Daemon.
Pulling in his wings and whipping around, Daemon saw a woman standing behind him. He glared at her.
"Oh, sorry," The woman sighed. "I didn't mean to sound so rude. You must be Daemon. K'dron sent me to look for you."
"Yeah, and who are you?" Daemon sighed.
"My name's Inness. I run this place," Inness laughed.
Daemon scoffed and turned back to the woman, spreading his wings, "I don't need this. I'm just here because of Haven."
"Can't I just ask you to stand as well," Inness sighed. "We need guys more than we need girls. It would help us out a lot."
"I'm not big on helping people," Daemon sighed.
"Just this once, and then you'll never have to help us again," Inness sighed.
Daemon snorted, "All right. I might as well stay. I have no where else to go."

Haven and Daemon rocked back and forth as the eggs did the same. The robes they had to wear were hanging high on their backs since there was no room for their wings. As the first egg cracked, the two took a deep breath and looked at each other. Haven smiled at Daemon.

It may not seem like he wants to, but you can tell he does, Haven thought as she turned back to the eggs.

I sure hope this is over quickly, Daemon sighed as the first dragonet spilled out onto the sands.
