Morning Star Weyr
G'yan, look at me!! Frescoth exclaimed. I'm larger than a bronze!
"You certainly are, Fres," G'yan sighed. "I'm sure that you'll have your pick of the golds."

I don't want a gold, G'yan, Frescoth sighed.
  "Are you still on Palawan's..."

You like Palawan, and Sandiath is a beautiful dragon, and almost as large as me, Frescoth sighed.
"I think she's about the same size," G'yan laughed.
  Frescoth snorted,
Think what you like, G'yan, but she is smaller than I am.
"There's no reason to stand here and argue about it," G'yan laughed.

Whatever you may think, G'yan. I will catch Palawan's Sandiath and bring you two together. Palawan may be striken with a bronze rider whose's bronze hasn't grown, but I will change her mind. She will love you, Frescoth sighed.
G'yan couldn't help but laugh, "Frescoth, human emotions aren't that easy to control. Besides, she wouldn't give me a second look. Have you seen K'brin? He's so strong and outgoing. I'm just a little twit who would rather spend time in his weyr, staring at the stars than partying with the other riders."

I like you, G'yan, and besides, He's only a bronze rider. You have me, Frescoth said, smuggly.
"You have an ego the size of Pern," G'yan laughed, joking slapping Frescoth's muzzle.
Suddenly, a loud bugle echoed across the Weyrbowl of Morning Star. G'yan jerked his head to look over at the Feeding Grounds.

It's Sandiath! Frescoth sighed, amazed. What are they doing at Morning Star?
  "She's rising, Frescoth!" G'yan shouted.
The Watermelon colored adult snapped at any male who came close to her. She dove into the Feeding Pen and snatched up a herdbeast, taking a large bit out of the neck.
If she eats, she will be slugish, Frescoth sighed. I will not sire a small clutch!
"BLOOD!!!" G'yan heard Palawan shouted at her dragon.
He winced at the bugling protest of Sandiath. Frescoth launched into the air and landed next to her, grabbing a beast for himself to blood. Sandiath snapped at him, and he snapped right back. Wincing each time Sandiath bulged, G'yan slipped in behind Palawan as Sandiath launched into the air. Shaking by the impact of her dragon's emotions, Palawan fell backwards into G'yan's arms. Frescoth launched into the air after her, followed by several others, and it had begun.
