…… 3 Henry MILLER Sr. was born about 1753 in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. He died on 6 August 1819 in Roane County, Tennessee.  He was the son of N. Patrick MILLER and Mary BRAUN. He married Martha C. WYLY in February 1774 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. She was born about 1759 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina to James WYLY and Martha Isabelle HARRIS. She died on 22 December 1848 in Tennessee.

I, WILLIAM HILL, Secretary of State, in and for the State of North Carolina, do hereby certify, that it appears from the muster-rolls of the Continental line of this State, in the Revolutionary War, that Henry Miller a Corporal ---- in Capt. Blounts Company of the fifth Regiment, entered the service on the day of --- 17 --- for the term of the war, that he was a corpl on the 1st Febry 1780, and a Sergeant in 1782. A Land Warrant was grant for his services in May 1784 for 1000 acres - Given under my hand this 25th day of January 1847.

In order to obtain the benefit of the 3rd sections of the Act of the 4th July 1836.

On the 7 day of November 1844 personally appeared before the undersigned one of the Justices of the peace for Roane County Court it being a court of Record Martha Miller a Resident of the county of Roane in the State of Tennessee aged Eighty five years who being first duly sworn according to Law doth on her oath make the following Declaration in order to obtain the benefit of the provisions of the Act of Congress passed July 4th 1836.  That she was the wife of Henry Miller who was a private under Capt Wm Dobson in the N. C. Militia (   blank  ) Regiment commanded by Col. Alexander as she believes in the fall of 1777, in Guilford County N. C. as a volunteer that he was in the battle at the Shallow Ford and a the Battle at King's Mountain which she believes was in the same fall that he entered the service say 77. in October that he continued in the service without intermission as she believes until after the Battle at Guildford Court House, where he was & in the engagement which she believes took place in the year 1781 after which Battle he was discharged & came home having been absent in the service of the United States from the fall of 1777 until the summer of 1781. A portion of which time he served under Capt. Henry Francis but at what period she cannot state with certainty, she has often heard him speak of Genl. Marion, Col. Henry & others whose names she cannot recollect. But she recollect defitenetly of his absence in the service of his country from 77 until 81 from the fact of her having to stay with her step Father David Miller all the time her Husband was she put with her three eldest Child in the youngest of whom was born a short time after he entered into the service, who resided on Cripple Creek in Virginia as she thanks and this circumstance satisfies her that her Husband was in the service from the time he left home in 1777 until the spring or summer of 81 between which periods she believes he was engaged in actual service and did. Not return to his family until the last period she hearing from him frequently during this time that she was married to the said Henry Miller on the (blank) day of Feby 1774 in (blank) County N. C. by Esq. Neale and that the afforesaid Henry Miller died on the 6th day of August 1820 and she has remained a widow ever since that period as will appear more fully by reference to the proof.  Here in annexed she further swears that after the War. Her & her Husband removed to Chucky in what is now Tennessee where they  remained until 1800 when the moved to what is now Roane County, Tennessee.  Where she has remained ever since she further more swears that she never knew that she was entitled to a Pension until recently.

James Wyly and made oath in due form of law that he is well acquainted with Henry Miller and Martha Miller in Rutherford County N. Carolina where they were married, some time in the Winter season of 1774, and I see from an old family Register that her eldest child (John Wyly Miller) was born the 8th of November 1775. The Old Bible containing the family Register was aforesaid here been found among other of my Books since Mrs Miller Ient____ on her claim asserted under the Act of 4th July 1836 – and as to the hand writing of said family Record, I cannot say, but I know that Henry Miller could write, and that the said Record has been in my possesion for more than twenty years as I had it before the death of the said Henry Miller. – I further State that Martha Miller, aforesaid is the widow of the aforesaid Henry Miller who served in the Revolutionary War in Rutherford County N Carolina ^ (and elsewhere,) and that I was well acquainted with said Miller and that there was no other of the same name in the said County  to my knowledge and that he was the son of Patrick Miller. And the death of the said Henry Miller I know it took place in the year 1820 from the facts that some of my papers bearing date with that of his death the papers attested to pertaing to land claims which I have in my possesion –

He died on 14 March 1850 in Roane County, Tennessee.

I, Benjamin Franklin Breazeale, of the State of Tennessee in the County of Roane being in sound mind & memory thanks be given to God for his mercy, and calling into mind the mortality of my body & knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament.  That is to say principally and first of all I give and recommit my soul into the hand of that holy God who gave it & my body I recommit to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executor nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same by the merciful and almighty power of God.  And touching such a worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life I give, devise, & dispose of the same in the following manner & form, First, I give and bequeath to my son Henry Willis Breazeale all my lands, plantation & premises including the plantation where I now live, and all my other property of any kind be sold & put to interest & that my executors, or executor do pay an equal part of the same to the lawful heirs of Owen Gentry & Patsy Gentry his wife & also the lawful heirs of Charles Bogart & his wife as said heirs come of age further I do give and bequeath to Owen Gentry & Patsy his wife five dollars & to Charles Bogart & his wife five dollars to Thomas Dawson & his wife and also five dollars to Robert Davis & his wife & this I do certify and confirm as my last will & testament for the execution & the performance thereof I do appoint my true & trusty friends Joseph Rhea and Henry Bogart as my executors.

I, James Brazeale of the county of Roane and State of Tennessee do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby making void all other wills  by me at anytime made.
1st, First, I recommend my soul to God who gave it and my body to dust  from whence it came to be buried in a manner suitable to my condition in life.
2nd, I give and bequeath to my son John G. Brazeale my plantation with  all lands as may more fully be understood by references to my several deeds of  conveyance with the present crop on the same except the land that my son  Andrew J. Brazeale rented from me that the said Andrew J. Brazeale is to have the rent reserving in the aforesaid lands and plantations a lifetime estate  for my daughter Mary Mahala Brazeale and also my daughter Sarah Brazeale which  they are to have so long as they live single and remain on the said  plantation.
3rd, I give and bequeath to my son John G. Brazeale my wagon and one  yoke of cattle. 
4th, I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Mahaly my bay  mare
5th, I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Brazeale my roan filly
6th, I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Blackburn my sorrel colt and one bed and furniture and staid. 
7th, I give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy Essell one bed and furniture.
8th, I give and bequeath to my son Henderson C. Brazeale 8 head of sheep. 
9th, I give and bequeath to my son Andrew J. Brazeale 8 head of sheep. 
10th, all the remaining property to be sold in a twelve months credit and the money arising from the sale of same to be equally divided with all my sons --
