50th(!) Annual New Britain City Chess Championship Qualifying Tournament

Tuesday Evenings - First Round starts September 21, 1999

The tournament is open to all New Britain residents and all NBCC members (regardless of residence).
This is a single Round Robin tournament with time control 40/90, SD/30.
The tournament will be 7 or 9 rounds, depending on the number of entries.
Competitors will be divided into 8 or 10 player sections.
Tournament results will be rated by the United States Chess Federation
Each player must be a current USCF member in good standing.
Cash and other prizes will be awarded only to winners in the FINALS and RESERVE tournaments.

ENTRY FEE: $24 (Seniors 65+ and Students $20)
2 Tournaments for 1 Entry Fee!

TOP 4 players from each section will advance to the FINALS tournament held January-March 2000.
Players not qualifying for the FINALS will play in the RESERVE held concurrently with the FINALS.

All rounds start at 7:30PM SHARP!!
